Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Landscape Architect at either Assistant Consultant or Consultant level to join our team in Reading

Overview

We are seeking a talented landscape architect for our Reading office to help us design over 500 hectares of multifunctional green space associated with the proposed third runway at Heathrow Airport - one of the UK’s biggest ever construction projects.

The successful candidate will become part of friendly, dynamic, award-winning landscape team which is passionate about creating captivating spaces that enrich people’s lives and help to combat challenging environmental and social issues.

The expansion of Heathrow represents a unique opportunity to create a substantial legacy of over 500 hectares of new and enhanced green space around the airport; including new public open space set within a rich tapestry of new and improved habitats and watercourses.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for supporting the landscape design team in site analysis, design development and production of drawings, specifications, graphics and reports.  The role requires creativity, good time management and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to create fully integrated solutions.

Working for Wood

The multidisciplinary nature of our business gives us direct access to a wealth of in-house technical knowledge and experience which we utilise to sensitively integrate development into the natural world and create climate-resilient, resource-efficient, biodiverse places that enable people and nature to thrive.

As well as providing exciting and challenging project work, we offer a friendly working environment where you will be supported in reaching your career goals while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary and benefits package, subject to experience.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in Landscape Architecture
  • Proven ability in the use of AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop and MS Office (as a minimum)
  • UK driving licence
