Job Description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is now accepting applications for our Nuclear Graduate Programme starting September 2018.

The deadline for applications is 28th February 2018.

Key elements of the Graduate Programme:

As a mechanical engineering graduate, you will join a well-established IMechE accredited Graduate Programme that comprises a period of two years on the programme followed by a three-year career development phase. This will involve delivery and on-the job training, with opportunities to develop wider engineering and project delivery skills. This is structured to provide you with the necessary skills and experience to apply for membership of the IMechE and become a professionally registered engineer.

  • Varied training with quarterly development reviews for the first two years followed by three additional years of career development leading towards professional accreditation and more senior roles;
  • Each graduate is assigned a mentor (chartered engineer), a peer to peer graduate and a line manager to ensure they are supported in their personal and professional development;
  • Exposure to a variety of projects to ensure well rounded development;
  • Hands-on involvement working on projects from the beginning, with the opportunity to develop skills by working alongside experienced engineers;
  • Opportunities for site placements in the UK.

Our 2-year structured Graduate Programme will set you on the path to professional accreditation and is consistently recognised as one of the best programmes within the industry.
