Wood is currently recruiting for a Noise & Vibration Assistant Consultant to be based in either our Birchwood Office or our London office. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates with an interest in environmental noise & vibration to join our friendly and hardworking team.
The successful candidates will join our growing team and help to deliver our projects focusing on environmental noise and vibration. You will work alongside your colleagues in the noise & vibration team as well as colleagues the wider environmental assessment team to deliver project work.

Your role will be to provide technical input to a variety of noise and vibration assessments as well as supporting senior colleagues in areas such project organisation and the preparation of proposals. Your responsibilities will include site work, data analysis, computational modelling and reporting. You will be supported and guided by senior colleagues.
Ideally, we are looking for candidates with a Degree (Bachelors or Masters) in acoustics or an acoustics related subject. However, because at Wood, we don't just look for degree classifications we would be pleased to hear from candidates with equivalent experience or a qualification in a relevant subject.
We believe enthusiasm, personality, commitment and creative thinking are just as important as formal qualifications.
As you will be expected to carry out site work you do need to have a full UK driving licence.
As consultants, our work involves communicating technical concepts to non-experts so we ask for a good standard of spoken English and high levels of literacy and numeracy.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
