    Wood are currently recruiting for a Vacation Student to join our Subsea team based centrally in the Perth CBD office.

      

    Our summer Vacation Program is designed for students looking to kick-start their career.  This role within our program is available to those studying toward a degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Computer Science / Advanced Mathematics or Physics. You will be in your second-last year of university and have an interest in Subsea engineering environment. 

    Wood's Vacation Program enables you to put theory into practice and obtain valuable industry experience allowing first-hand exposure to real projects within the industry prior to graduation.  During the program you will undertake challenging and relevant tasks, attend networking events and enhance your skill-set through coaching and mentoring.

    To equip you with the knowledge and tools to successfully complete your work during the program, you will undertake a first day induction and be assigned a buddy and additionally attend team building activities and lunch-and-learn sessions.  At the conclusion of your internship, you may be offered a Graduate role with us – meaning you could finish your last year of Uni knowing you have already secured a role.

    Skills / Qualifications

    To be eligible for a vacation position with us you must:

    • Be studying for a Civil/Structural Engineering qualification or a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Computer Science / Advanced Mathematics or Physics qualification; Undergraduate or Masters
    • Be in the penultimate year of your degree / Masters course and achieving an average of 70% or greater
    • Be a strong communicator – you can clearly articulate your ideas, passion and perspective both in person and in writing.
    • Love learning new things – you are open-minded, a quick learner, and a naturally curious person - we are particularly interested in students who are open to developing their technical skills
    • Be an enthusiastic team player – you thrive in collaborative environments, love bouncing ideas off others; but you can work independently when needed as well
    • Be available to work for a 12-week period from December 2019 to February 2020
